Watercolour Demystified – Mastering Watercolour Control
(8 sessions X 3 hours)This course is suitable for beginners as well as those who have had some experience with watercolour painting, to understand how to control water in watercolour painting and learn to progress independently. Also recommended for hobbyists, crafters, makers, entrepreneurs, professionals, homemakers, retirees.
Through lectures and exercises, learners will understand how materials impact painting decisions and outcomes, learn how to apply techniques systematically and creatively on a variety of subjects. Topics to be covered include basic watercolour techniques such as: wet on wet, wet on dry, negative painting, layering, lifting, reserving white, blending, and brush control.
At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Paint with watercolours purposefully and confidently.
- Apply a wide repertoire of watercolour techniques on a variety of subjects.
- Troubleshoot and progress independently with applied practice.
A digital certificate will be issued upon successful course completion, which requires a minimum attendance rate of 75%.
