The Art of Breathing with Yoga Principles

(5 sessions x 2 hours)

This course aims to introduce learners to the core principles of yoga and their connection to mindful breathing practices. Learners will acquire a comprehensive understanding of the physiological and psychological benefits of conscious breathing. They will be guided to develop a personal practice for breathwork to enhance their overall well-being. Find out how you can cultivate self-awareness and mindfulness by exploring breath as a powerful tool for stress reduction and emotional regulation.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this workshop, learners will be able to:
  • Demonstrate an understanding of the basic principles of yoga and their relationship to breathing.
  • Acquire proficiency in various Pranayama (breath regulation) techniques and their distinctive benefits.
  • Utilise breathing as a tool for mitigating stress, inducing relaxation, and regulating emotions.
  • Develop a personal breathing practice that aligns with their objectives.


Our Trainers

 
Nidhi Kagrana

Nidhi Kagrana is an environmental engineer turned revered yoga therapist and instructor based in Singapore. She is trained in hatha yoga from The Yoga Institute, India, and is a certified yoga therapist (500 hours) from Union Yoga Ayurveda, Singapore.

A dedicated yoga practitioner for more than a decade with a career in yoga spanning three years, Nidhi's expertise extends beyond the physical aspects of yoga, delving into the transformative power of conscious breathing. Recognised for her mastery of pranayama, sequencing, alignment, and adeptness in educating her students, Nidhi embodies a harmonious balance of classical and modern yoga.

Founder of 'balance2bliss', Nidhi champions adult and children's health through yoga therapy and wellness programs. She takes pride in positively impacting the lives of numerous clients and actively promotes the concept of yoga and holistic living in the local community. Currently, Nidhi is a hatha yoga instructor at Queenstown Community Centre and a yoga therapist at Union Yoga Ayurveda, Singapore.
