Pastel Nagomi Art Essential: Mastering Stencils

(4 sessions X 3 hours)

Stencil making, an essential component of Pastel Nagomi Art (PNA), will be the focus of this course. Learners will create up to three stunning artwork stencils, ranging from basic shapes to complex photos and images, using the software Inkscape. Throughout the course, participants will gain valuable skills in breaking down images and photos into stencils. The aim is to empower learners to master stencil-making and create beautiful, self-expressive Pastel Nagomi Art pieces.

Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this module, learners will be able to:

Learners will demonstrate competence in the art of stencil making using the software Inkscape.
Develop the ability to express their creativity through PNA, as evidenced by creating up to three artwork stencils.
Learners will have gained the expertise to transform their images and photos into stencils.

A digital certificate will be issued upon successful course completion, which requires a minimum attendance rate of 75%.

Zu Wee

Zuwee is a certified advanced instructor in Pastel Nagomi Art (PNA), having obtained her diploma from the Japan Pastel Hope Art Association (JPHAA). She discovered the calming effects of the PNA in 2022 and has since become an advocate for creative living. She hopes to inspire others to embrace their creativity and discover art's transformative potential.
