Expressive Art as Therapy (Level 2)
(8 sessions X 3 hours)Expressive Art as Therapy (Level 2) is for learners who have completed Expressive Art as Therapy (Level 1) to further explore and strengthen their mental wellness. Through lectures and exercises, learners will be guided in using mixed media for creative expression, sensory-motor therapy, environmental-nature exploration, mindfulness folding art, positive-based therapy, and understanding safety and space to develop resilience for mental health. Explore different levels of emotion regulation such as reintegration, healing, recovery, and reflection for health management.
Learning Outcomes:At the end of this module, learners will be able to:
- Develop an understanding of therapeutic art concepts
- Apply therapeutic art concepts using drawing, painting, mixed media, clay, paper folding
- Demonstrate the use of expressive art for emotion regulation
Completion of this course does not certify or accreditate an individual to be an Art Therapist or Practitioner.
A digital certificate will be issued upon successful course completion, which requires a minimum attendance rate of 75%.
