Expressive Art as Therapy (Level 1)

This course aims to introduce expressive art and positive psychology as a form of art therapy for self-awareness and personal reflection to acquire inner strength for mental health. The course is suitable for anyone with or without an art background seeking to learn relaxation, rejuvenation, and recharge techniques.
Through lectures and exercises, learners will explore the concept and practice art as therapy for creative expression with themes such as resilience, peace, flexibility, positivity, circle of life, etc. Explore different levels of emotions such as anger, stress, anxiety, fear, depression, grief, etc. and how to manage them for health.
Learning Outcomes:
At the end of this course, learners will be able to:
- Embark on a self-discovery journey and personal reflection through art.
- Engage in visual art journaling for personal wellness.
- Explore the use of various art forms and mediums for creative expression.
