AI for Educators: Core Concepts and Sustainable Practices (Online)
(4 sessions X 3 hours)This course is designed to empower educators to stay ahead of technology and guide their students with confidence in the digital age. Guided by an experienced trainer with a deep understanding of the challenges in the classroom, learners will be equipped with the fundamental knowledge and skills to navigate the exciting world of AI beyond tools like ChatGPT or Gemini. Through interactive sessions, discussions, and hands-on activities, educators will gain a solid understanding of core AI concepts and explore how to integrate AI tools sustainably for a positive impact on teaching and learning.
Learning Outcomes:At the end of this module, learners will be able to:
- Explain the core principles of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) no matter how technology continues to evolve.
- Differentiate between various AI applications and their potential benefits for education.
- Critically evaluate the ethical considerations and potential biases involved in AI tools.
- Identify sustainable practices for implementing AI in the classroom, focusing on equity, inclusion, and environmental impact.
- Explore different AI tools and resources applicable to their specific teaching context.
- Develop a plan for integrating AI into their curriculum responsibly and effectively.
A digital certificate will be issued upon successful course completion, which requires a minimum attendance rate of 75%.
