Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), University of the Arts Singapore, an esteemed arts institution with a global reputation seeks a Programme Leader (Digital Innovation), 50%-Load at the Faculty of Performing Arts.


Roles and Responsibilities

 
  • Provide leadership and support in managing the academic and operational administration in digital innovation and application for the schools under the Faculty of Performing Arts, which includes:
    • Leading the use of digital technology in teaching & learning and productions, in ensuring that the strategy is aligned with the wider Academy strategy, as well as development plans.e
    • Overseeing, managing, implementing, and reviewing the main digital learning platforms. This will include developing and implementing digital initiatives across the Faculty to futureproof the Schools.e
    • Proactively researching methods of enhancing teaching & learning in performing arts to ensure that the Faculty and its Schools are at the cutting edge of its field, staying abreast of developments with other performing arts institutions, industry, and across the technology sector.e
    • Motivating, inspiring, and encouraging staff to be inventive and experimental in their use of digital technology in the classroom and beyond.e
    • Co-ordinating and recommending model technology practices in the classroom and providing coaching to staff to improve their technology practice for teaching potential e
    • Working with staff to develop digital technology in both internal and external performances that will benefit both faculty staff and students' learning and exposure
  • Establish links and networks with industry and to be kept abreast with new technology and innovation.
  • Assist in the planning and organising activities to promote digital innovation and transformation.
  • Undertake 7 - 9 contact/teaching hours per week during term time.


Requirements

 
You should possess a Master’s degree qualification in a related discipline, with a minimum 5 years of professional experience in academic teaching experience at the tertiary level. A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

To succeed in this role, you should be positive, enthusiastic, and results-oriented, have the ability to engage and inspire students in their learning, and have a good command of written and spoken English. Application Closing Date:
