Gina Zhang graduated from NAFA’s Diploma in 3D Design, majoring in Object & Jewellery in 2016, after winning the Sri Lanka Jewelry Design Awards (International category) in 2015.

Since graduation, Zhang has poured her love and creativity into over 400 pieces of custom jewellery. Becoming a designer doesn't just take talent, she has also honed her industry skills by working with some of the industry’s most talented individuals and furthered her expertise by studying gemmology at the Gemmological Institute of America (GIA).

As the former Design Team Manager at MADLY, a prestigious bespoke jewellery in Singapore, Zhang gained extensive experience that typically takes decades to master. From a daily engagement ring to a glamorous cocktail ring, she has a knack for putting a fresh spin on classic designs, adding that 'something special' that makes people go "Oh, yes!".

In 2023, Zhang set up her jewellery design label, VIVICITA, with a commitment to crafting personal narratives. She ensures every creation resonates deeply with the wearer. This personalized approach goes beyond traditional design, offering not just exquisite jewellery, but a true sense of pride in owning a unique and thoughtfully designed piece.

Zhang also dedicates her time as a design mentor at TopCan Education for NAFA students. Her journey to success was filled with challenges, strengthening her belief that the most rewarding paths require perseverance. She mentors young students by providing the guidance she once needed, helping them to become designers just like her.
