As an Interactive Media Designer, Winson has many years of industrial experience, having worked with major clients such as SingTel, SingHealth, McDonalds, Singapore Sports Heritage Museum, eBay, PayPal, Singapore Overseas Students' Association, HSBC, and The Picturehouse.
His teaching experience included The One Academy of Communication Design in Malaysia and the Raffles Design Institute in Singapore.
He brings to the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts his expertise in Digital Arts and Interactive Media Design for Visual Communication. He believes that digital technologies education should meet the demands of human communications patterns and trends. To this end, he is instrumental in developing a unique curriculum that integrates educational technologies, mobile devices and internet tools. He is an advocate of a flexible learning environment that mixes doses of fun with tech-savviness, empowering his students to be effective communicators through the digital medium. During his Master’s Degree studies in the UK, his research project on 'Stress Reduction through Plant Form in Interactive Media' – which looks at idea development, interactive design, website making, contextual study, project promotion and concepts of translation between media - was presented in a series of online screen-based visual interactive work.
