Apart from being an educator, Roi actively contributes his knowledge to the creative industry by providing consultation services as a design consultant and adjudicating in many design competitions. In addition, Roi is much sought after in the commercial sector and has been commissioned in various projects. He has directed and produced the 'Beijing Olympic 2008 Introduction Video' as well as several short films and animation TV commercials. He has also painted a large-scale wall mural in Taiwan and over 40 McDonald's outlets in Singapore during the period from 1992 to 1997. He has won a string of awards in his career, the latest being a Bronze Award (Experimental Film Category) in the Crowbar 05 Competition.
