Claire’s love for apparel and clothing led her to dedicating her career spanning more than 26 years in the fashion and education industry. She has taught at institutions in Singapore including Temasek Polytechnic, LASALLE College of the Arts, Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), and the Institute of Technical Institution (ITE).
Claire’s expertise lies in Textile Science, Clothing Construction, Apparel Manufacturing and Fashion Merchandizing and she has led several Students Overseas Exchange Programmes in Paris, London, Australia, Hong Kong and Malaysia, to inspire, enrich and expand student’s professional capacity and experience in Fashion Industry.
In 2008, Claire’s vision for quality education saw her transition from teaching to management while at NAFA. As Section Head at ITE, Claire successfully founded and developed the Fashion Apparel Production and Design course, which won institution-wide recognition for its excellent performance every year since its inception in 2013.
Claire takes personal interest in her students’ aspirations and finds deep satisfaction in partnering with them to transform their dreams into reality.
