Adele is currently an adjunct dance lecturer at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Besides this, she has been teaching contemporary dance since 2014 in various programmes and schools. Adele was a dance mentor for the *SCAPEdance Residency Programme (2020), the MOE-NAC Dance Talent Development Programme, and taught under the M1-Frontier Danceland PULSE Programme.
Presently, Adele is actively working as an independent contemporary dance artist, regularly creating and performing across different performance formats (live, digital, interactive). Before this, Adele worked as a company artist with Frontier Danceland (2013-2018). In recent years, Adele has performed and presented her choreographic works on various platforms, including M1 Contact Contemporary dance Festival, Arts in Your Neighbourhood, ArtScience Late at Home and da:ns festival. One of Adele’s choreographic works <A Time within Time>, co-created with award-winning Korean dance artist, Kwon Hyuk, has been selected to be performed at the SIDance festival in Korea.
Adele’s movement practice is constantly evolving and has strong influences from somatic/release-based techniques, Gaga and Flying Low. She sees improvisation as a crucial part of her dance and choreographic practice and seeks to extend her experiences, industry knowledge and ongoing research to her teaching practice and students.
