The University of the Arts Singapore (UAS) is the nation’s seventh university – building on the legacies and strengths of Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) and LASALLE College of the Arts.
Working closely as a community with UAS and LASALLE colleagues, NAFA is committed to collaborating with artists, educators, and partners across institutions, communities, and industries.
The Symposium’s joint steering committee is co-chaired by Jerry Soo, Vice President (Academic) and Provost of NAFA, and Venka Purushothaman, Deputy President and Provost of LASALLE, supported by UAS’ Vice-Chancellor Kwok Kian Woon and faculty from both arts institutions. It will open with a symbolic appreciation of our arts educators and the launch of the University’s logo. This is followed by the Vice-Chancellor’s keynote speech and a panel on the special challenges of arts education today. A second panel focuses on co-creating a new agenda for practice, pedagogy, and research.
Due to the overwhelming response, the Symposium has reached full capacity and can no longer accommodate additional registrations. Kindly note that new registration will be placed on a waiting list.
