Re-appraising the Familiar is the overarching concept for the teaching residency. It would consist of mass lectures, small workshops and individual tutorials. The main objective of these student-centred activities is to generate conversations and research questions for students’ individual area of interest. Some key words related to art practice such as skills, materials, processes, concept, performative, collaboration, will be discussed and examined.
The showcase will present a culmination of problem-solving outcomes by the Fine Art student-participants, who are continuously required to practice their non-habitual ways of seeing and doing things during the process of art making.
