Initiated by independent cultural and social enterprise, Post-Museum, and organised by Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), the third edition of the Renew Earth Sweat Shop seeks to bring awareness to the growing issue of fashion waste. As part of a seven-week programme, students from NAFA research, design and present sustainable solutions for the fashion industry—which will culminate in a public showcase at library@harbourfront.
Additionally, NAFA students will lead interactive upcycling workshops to engage the community by drawing together fashion, art, and environmental sustainability. Utilising fashion waste such as discarded clothing and fabric scraps, participants will be guided by the students to craft wearable accessories and decorative art. All materials and equipment will be provided and sewing experience is not required.
