Based in Ho Chi Minh City, visual artist Hoang Duong Cam is known for his multidisciplinary approach to his practice, working across paintings, photography, music and more. He graduated from Hanoi Fine Arts University in 1996 and has participated in numerous group exhibitions and held solo exhibitions locally and internationally. This is his first solo exhibition in Singapore, 19 large-scale abstract paintings are a result of his creative process combining ideas from painting and classical music. Unconstrained by medium or scale, these artworks portray stories of the Vietnam War through the perspectives of various creators—artists, authors, filmmakers and musicians who have inspired Cam through his life.
