Under the direction of Maestro Lim Yau, the NAFA Orchestra presents two iconic pieces unified by the common theme of starcrossed lovers. Head of Chinese Instrumental Studies, Sunny Wong, is the soloist for the Butterfly Lovers’ Concerto for gaohu and orchestra by He Zhanhao and Chen Gang. The concert also features excerpts from the three orchestral suites derived from Sergei Prokofiev’s Romeo and Juliet ballet, presented in chronological order.
