On 10 May 2024, we had the pleasure of welcoming Mr. Phua Boon Huat, President of the Singapore Furniture Industry Council (SFIC), and esteemed members of the furniture industry to our campus.
SFIC, established in 1981, plays a crucial role in shaping the Singapore furniture and furnishings industry. This visit aimed to foster collaboration and knowledge exchange between NAFA and industry leaders, with a shared vision of driving innovation in furniture design and nurturing future creative talents in this dynamic field.
During their visit, we shared about NAFA's diverse academic programs, with a particular focus on the School of 3D Design, to offer insights into the innovative curriculum and opportunities offered to students. Guests were also treated to a tour of our state-of-the-art facilities and had the opportunity to witness firsthand the exceptional work being produced by our talented 3D Design students.
NAFA looks forward to continuing this dialogue with SFIC and exploring collaborative partnerships. We believe that by working together, we can empower future generations of furniture designers and contribute significantly to the continued success of Singapore's furniture industry.
