The 2022 Ngee Ann Distinguished Artist Award was presented to 57-year-old local oil painter Boo Sze Yang. This year's winner of the Ngee Ann Emerging Artist Award, awarded in 2020, is 33-year-old Sebastian Mary Tay. He is originally from Chaoan, Chaozhou, Guangdong Province and graduated from Glasgow University with an MA in Creative Practice Studies. He is an Adjunct Lecturer at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA), LASALLE College of the Arts and Nanyang Technological University, and a multidisciplinary artist preparing for new exhibitions in Singapore and the UK. The 24th Ngee Ann National Teochew Art Exhibition 2022 features 121 works by 111 artists and will be held until 27 November at NAFA Campus 1, Ngee Ann Gallery 1 and 2, as well as Lim Hak Tai Gallery.
